She likes them. At first she didn't know what to do with the finger carrot I gave her. She crunched it and just played with the pieces. But she finally ate it and asked for more. I didn't give her any more just yet because I don't want any surprizes on the carpet. But it's a start for her to have more nourishing treats instead of all those dog biscuits. She is still on the kibble she was on at her other home but I will be starting her on home cooking soon.

Carrots are good for them. I leave about 6 or 8 baby carrots around the house when I leave so Luke has something to look for and munch on while I'm away. Makes for some interesting looking dog eggs in the backyard too.
Brandi is impressed I am so sure,.:)

Mine all love carrots. Apples and banannas are tasty treats you might try!;)
Carrots were great for mine when they were losing their baby teeth. And celery, crunch crunch crunch(when the new teeth came in). I think we may have spared some household things from the teething period by giving them crunchy vegies!

I have done research on carrots. I found an artical from some lab in the USA that stated carrots will cause a dog to show signs similar to a human diebetic, oranges are the same. I am trying to find the link. I will post it if I find it.
Personally I have desided to not give her vegs or fruits of any kind. I stick with what they evolved eating. But it is a personal choice. And to each his own.
The only green Binky gets is Alfalfa tablets. The reason I do this is, I am modeling a prey animal. In the wild a wolf will not eat the tummy contents of a grass eater, but will eat the stomach it self. In turn ,getting a little of the green matter with it.
I love my carnivore.
